Their eyes glaze, crystal gaze
Running amuck in my one turn maze
That one turn is the one turn u cant make
Come a little closer I am the state
I am the face, visage
My god complex its large
Some think im heartless, some think im hard
I think im boss so I press restart
Revive their minds then I take their hearts
Realign the lies that they take apart
Im on guard man, its bizarre and
I wonder why they even bothered this far man.
I should just feed them cake.
Leave the rest for me, and never mind the state
With no recipe, their condition is to chase
And serve my own will, I self propel
And contaminate the chaste
They say a good ruler knows the people
Well hey, I know that they simple minded and feeble
Need assistance from the wicked and help from the evil
While they the wick on the candle
Im the dame with the handle on a flame
Thrower burnin up paper to make a scandal
With their money in my I hand
Tuck doors with wet towels, don't touch the handles
I fire proof the land, and wire tap the vandals
Scoundrels.
I round em all up as they scream
Speakin bout good virtues and truths gone unseen
In the blacked out foul black markets of their dreams
I override their monarchs even chase out their queens
And I bust through rolling with semi auto-machines.
Its just a…..
Semi auto-cra-cy.

"I love the peace and I love the War"
I don't know what's happening this summer, but my eyes and my heart have evolved to house new points of view on a million and one things. From nationhood to my hood, my world has turned upside down, right side up, and sideways. I feel as though there isn't enough time to make things right. I don't know what I'm rushing for but time seems to be slipping from beneath me. I don't like that feeling, but I think its all for a good reason. I don't believe I can correct the ills of the world, I mean I can barely get through my own. But things bug me, why not share them with yall?
As I sit here writing this, I witness the bursts of blinding lights and explosive sounds that are the United States of America. I feel comfortable here, unusually at ease, and I'm OK with that. This nation celebrates its independence tonight, and I cant help but bitterly think of the independence my people lack. Just last week I received news of tyrannical "God-fearing" men subjugating my Somali brethren back home. With the World Cup taking place in South Africa this year, the African continent is unusually interested in the tournament out of sheer pride and jubilation. The fact that such an event would be held in Africa is stunning and in my opinion, about effin time! Some ignorant folks on the other hand find this event to be blasphemy to the highest degree. Don't ask me why. I don't know why anyone would think that. Generally people are supposed to be interested in Football/Soccer, not suffer unjust punishment or unbridled violence at the hands of gun-toting goons.
Long story short, a group of Somali men huddled around a small television set, eagerly anticipating the next goal in one of the matches, find themselves at the mercy of a radical terrorist group. I'm unsure of the details, but it was reported that some men were beaten violently and that some may have even been murdered. Also, this was a match watched in complete secrecy without the knowledge of the douche-bag squad which oppresses the people of Somalia. Mind you, I generally avoid listening to such news as it usually makes its way through the twisted grape-vines which stem from Somali mouths at home, to Somali ears abroad. But this news came from my uncle, a trustful source whose virtue I can vouch for. Football is the world's game, not some blasphemous activity. It certainly is not bad enough to warrant death or violence, but I guess misguided hearts can twist anything to suit their needs. But tell me, did peace somehow become evil and undesirable?
Just wondering.
The pic is cause Im confused, get wid it =)
From Zahra, with Love.

"To them other niggas I dont vibe With"
This is a diss track. Yes I know it hasnt been recorded, but I know how
it sounds. But soon my friends, I will unleash my fury onto the world!!
---->>>insert evil laugh here
But truly, I respect all artists for what they do.
Sometimes however, their shit is toxic and we need to cleanse.
I had to "purge my soul" if you will, and this was the result!
Enjoy.
Chrome fours may be spinning
Veneers may be grinnin
And hair weave glue stuck like a rind to a peeling
Lemon, but not sour
Im sweet but can devour
I venus fly trap, I monster and flower
Boom-box and Bose, the prose will ring louder
Perch pigeons on power lines higher than that powder
Whiter than that chowder
From the east of Afrique homie you know I can vouch for
Playin games without sport
Pullin weeds without force
Spray em then they laying
Like collection for the trash force
Of course, you cant step to or hinder
Got 1.2.3.4.5 little ninjas
On my hand they just fingers
In your brain the painting pictures
Either love it or you hate it
But you grinning Mona Lisa
See sir, you know I dot my I's
And I cross my T's, perfect formation
Ballet tippy toe feet, no bars on these
No ice all heat, I rhyme and I flow
Even if I aint street
See, now I got you beat
Took a beat then beat it
Put it on my grill, spit fire will heat it
A little too hot, blow off the top
Put a bib on, muthaluva just eat it
Thoroughly nourished
Now you know it
Abc's I can be your G
But Im comin after U like V in the alphabet
I vendetta all the rest of it
Rosetta to get the gist of this
Numb skull. Yorick
Just a jest you dig
No need for a vest don't invest in clip
No pain not a masochist
Like a master kiss from a masked rebel
In a massive fit
Which means, I demean all your massive hits
So I take your ice out, make it rain out,
Im coming through marchin, you better parade out
In my parade now, see haters hailing like hail now
Cus they brought down…ba ra ra rara shot down
But not real shots, just figurative ones
Can you picture what Im figuring son?
Im done

"Get the little black girl a Passport"
A journey is on the horizon. Gonna see the family soon! Cant wait, but at the same time I don't know what it will be like. I haven't seen some of them for three years! Three whole years!! Its crazy because I try to be cool and think it aint a thing for me to see these folks after a long time apart. I guess the distance makes the love I have for them that much sweeter.
The threads unravelling
Im fin to go travelling
Scared
Back pack the crap and get gone
Fly
Get blown
Outta my time zone.......

"My femme fatale my darling fraudulent Angel"
Though I am not a hardcore feminist, my inner
Amazon Warrior Princessdefinitely shows up in this here rap below. The princess part was just my touch, but I do I have to get something off my chest and on your minds. To all the women out there who have ever been under a man's thumb, to all the dime pieces out there who are more than just 'dimes', to the ever evolving woman in all of us, persist and never desist to EXIST!!!
p.s. them punks need to leave the little girl schools alone...we all know
yall afraid of a smart ass woman.!
On Tap:
Just defy that one eyed bloke
Cus his one eye broke
So he read thats a "one-eyed hope, thats a one-eyed view"
But she aware that she among a few
Good men and women and itty bitty children
Who got scars from preachin in parks about
Reaching the stars bout cleaning the block
Its a lot of little hearts that rip
But she sew, so maybe they can harvest it
Full moon harvestin but they aint harbourin
No terror squad Bin Laderin
Nor those intolerable Taliban
So she writes again, her grip now tight on pen
Its pal, its mom, its you, its them
Her ink flows red and then its blue again
As she writes Im losing em as they watch
M as in my pride that they got
But M is as far as far as she got
As she recalled those distant shots and him on top
Guess memories dont stop
We fight on simple terms
Wit really big words
Like freedom, love, and knowledge for
All the little girls
All around the world
We fight on simple terms
Wit really big words
Like freedom, love, and knowledge for
All the little girls
All around the world
Now check it,
Is it a global fear that if a woman gets near
To a book or a pen that she'll disappear
Prove smarter than men and wont have to hear
"Cook that bitch" or "clean this dear"
"Forget that shit yo place is here"
Grin by force while he leers
Or can she twilight zone and reveal her sneer
Would she up and away out that atmosphere?
Clear! Now defibrillate that
Is it possible to rewind a mind and re-track?
Refill and place an order for dumb on tap?
No you cant, intelligence is thumb on tack
Not fools on stools like dunce on cap
So she cap and gown and leave her town
But just before she ascends to the clouds like an eagle
She swoops down and prays for the drunk and the feeble
And the people beguiled by ignorant heroes
Now look at these birds speakin from they beaks
They got something to say
And why?
Cus some heffa done touched the skies.

"And Grandma, I had to bite something from Ya."
Ahh this here rap makes me feel so good. You know, I think I actually might have, perhaps, perchance, just a lil bit, caught the vibe of what it was like for all the kick-ass Somali poets back in the homeland. I mean, Ive never experienced their poetry slams or lyrical "get downs", but from what Ive heard from my grandmothers, Somali poetry is truly unique and oh so complimentary to the Somali culture. Our persistence, stubbornness, yes our stubbornness, and are ability to improvise at any given moment are traits that have been captured and utilized to create some of the most beautiful odes and poems in Somali. My grandmother or Ayeeyo 'A-yay-o' as it is pronounced in Somali, would make up poems for each of my siblings and I whenever we were in a mood, when we excelled at anything, or whenever we got on her nerves. More often than not, it was the latter by which she was inspired by, and Ive come to be inspired by her! How sweet.
--->>>now imagine a picture of granny smiling right about here =)
MWAH!
Reap it then I heap it keep it fat like middle
Cuttin it raw off the stock like sickle
One too many words like the horseman tripled
Got it from my granny her homicidal recital
Words the only weapons that could turn you into rivals
Face off its tribal, in Somali-a the proses were all vital
No tape recorded it, no spinning it on vinyl
You had to catch it fast, the spit game was viral
Givin away vials of wordplay Ebola, sweet like cola
Their lines cud straight hate but they knew how to show love
Now that was just about half the time, the other half cud make you sad
But stay like laugh lines
It was merely just a pastime, a half time to write rhymes
But not really write so they rehearse verse they all chime
Repeatin em day in, and out
The fables and legends of their kin
Wow they must have been some super saiyans
They got me sayin I can do what they do
Grow a tail Goku, no monkey no fool
I told you I got granny, shes my angelou so I...
Say it, breathe, let it drop
Let it, let it, let it, let it drop
I say it, breathe, let it drop
Let it, let it, let it, let it drop
So back to my lovely mama numba two
She'd bust it out slow here pace was on cue
Get you real close with her razor blade slew
Baby bottom butts her cuts were so smooth
She slap the words silly you could call it abuse
Tie on a noose, light the word fuse
Accelerant? Irrelevant, got her own fuel
Just the grease from the kitchen where
The bitchin and the livin would simmer and then stew
Become your food for thought,
For soul and heart, and from soul to heart is
Where the darkness parked
Till the flow would tow then light impart
Yeah, Im thinking thats where I got my start
